Medical Board Reviews Expert Reports
The board's Medical Marijuana Committee met on May 14 to review the expert reports and hear testimony regarding the use of medical marijuana for refractory autism spectrum disorder. After a discussion, the committee voted to recommend the full board reject the petition.
The committee's votes are not the final determination for the petitions; the full Medical Board will discuss the petition and make a decision during an upcoming monthly board meeting.
Board agendas, including agendas for the Medical Marijuana Committee, will be available on the board’s website.

CTR Physician Survey
Ohio Revised Code 4731.30 and Ohio Administrative Code 4731-32-03 require each physician with a CTR to submit an annual report to the Medical Board. To collect the annual report data, the Medical Board will be sending a survey to all certified physicians. Each physician will be asked to give their professional opinion on the effectiveness of medical marijuana for the conditions for which it has been recommended.
The survey will be sent and collected in the summer. We will provide additional information when the distribution date is closer.

Standard of Care
All physicians with an active CTR must follow the full list of requirements in Rule 4731-32-03 Standard of Care in the Ohio Administrative Code.
