Prescription Fraud Advisory
The Board of Pharmacy has received reports of fraudulent electronic prescriptions for promethazine with codeine throughout the state in the name of a Columbus-based physician assistant.
To help combat these fraudulent prescriptions, it is strongly recommended that pharmacies verify promethazine/codeine prescriptions with the practitioner’s office by means other than the phone numbers provided on the prescriptions. Additionally, pharmacies and/or pharmacists should report all incidents of prescription fraud to the Board of Pharmacy and local authorities. Well-Being Checkup And Referral Engagement Service
The Well-Being Checkup and Referral Engagement Service (Well-Being CARE Service) is a
simple, free, and anonymous checkup of mental and emotional health for licensed health care workers, including those in training. Stress, anxiety, and the pressures of day-to-day life affect us all. Sometimes those pressures can negatively affect our happiness and disposition, our relationships with others, our job satisfaction, and even our feelings and beliefs about ourselves. The first step is a voluntary and completely anonymous questionnaire designed to help you assess your current state of mental health and well-being. Once completed, a licensed mental health professional will review your questionnaire and provide you with a personalized response that includes, should you be interested in pursuing them, vetted services that are available throughout Ohio in person and via telehealth.
Click here for more information about this
free, and anonymous checkup for health care professionals' mental and emotional health. |
